New
Lower Price on MVME 68K Products
GD
California, Inc. (GDCA) is proud to announce a new lower price for its
MVME 68K line of products, which where recently transferred from Motorola
ECC. The more attractive pricing model is a result of GDCA's cost cutting
measures and negotiation initiatives with its partners.
First
and foremost, price is always a function of cost. GDCA has negotiated more
favorable terms with its supply chain. GDCA is happy to pass on the
savings to its customers. GDCA is also working on the replacement of a key
component, which due to its scarcity is significantly over-priced. The
replaced component will give GDCA the ability to guarantee long term
availability and price stability. GD California's ASIC Replacement Program
is on schedule and should produce first prototypes approximately in
Q3CY06.
GD
California has been working closely with Motorola ECC to address
availability and pricing concerns of our customers. The two companies have
agreed to a mutually beneficial arrangement that includes consignment of
inventory as well as the purchase of selected surplus products. GDCA and
Motorola ECC have also settled in a new pricing structure that allows more
flexibility.
GD
California is committed to the legacy support of the MVME 68K line and is
taking all the necessary steps to ensure its customers of availability and
fair a price. "Our customers have asked for better pricing and we are
now delivering it", says Steve Roldan, GDCA Director of Sales and
Marketing.
The
new pricing is effective immediately. All request for quotes (RFQs)
received within the past 30 days will be re-quoted to reflect the new
pricing structure. To place a new RFQ, please use our quote
request form or submit an email
to our sales department (sales@gdca.com).
