Ziatech (now Performance Technologies) has completed the transfer of the remaining STD and STD32 bus single board computers to GD California. Since its inception in 1978, the STD Bus has been the main stay of Industrial Control and Medical Diagnostic implementations. Other Backplane standards have replaced STD/STD32, however it still commands extensive following in Industrial Control applications as it provides a simple and robust design approach. 

With the acquisition of both Ziatech (Performance Technologies) and Prolog (Motorola) products, GD California now manufacturers both STD and STD32 products. Ziatech and Prolog were the pioneer in design of STD bus standards and by making GD California as the sole supplier of their products both companies have reposed confidence in GD California as the premier supplier of legacy single board computers. The transfer has now placed GD as third largest manufacturer of STD & STD32 product lines in the industry.
