Component Validation
Test Labs and Components
Programs requiring the use of certified components will use
testing labs when parts cannot be sourced with a
Manufacturers Certificate of Conformance (COC).
- DSCC Mil-Spec listed labs are used. Test procedures are
documented under Military Specifications for the validation
testing of components.
- When required, a COC for each component used in the
manufacturing of the product will be provided. The COC
will be either from the component manufacturer or an
approved testing lab indicating conformance to the
original manufacturers specification.
Validation of Test and Assembly Procedures
Each test and assembly process is documented either by the
customer or ELS prior to production. ELS will work with the
customer to define acceptance criteria and will validate the
proto build to that criteria. First Article approval by the
customer will include assembly and test validation approval.
