All projects Take Time to Assess
If everything relative to the production process is clearly defined beforehand, the project takes very little time to assess. After the documentation is checked it is passed directly to manufacturing and production can begin immediately.

If information relative to the production process is incomplete the cost of resources required to assess a project are billed to the customer as they are applied to the assessment. These engineering charges are quoted then applied only with customer approval (and funding). The process:

1. Generate a quote to prepare the product specification
   (if not available from customer or if incomplete).
2. Generate a quote to prepare a scope of work. The scope of
   work lists the Deliverables, i.e., items required to
   produce the product.
3. Generate a quote to perform Discovery. Discovery is the
   act of researching materials, fabrication, costing and those
   processes best suited to implementation. The
   findings are documented.
4. Present production quote and Deliverables to customer.
5. Production - execute Deliverables.
