Sourcing of Obsolete Components

Sourcing occurs through distributors, OEM obsolete inventories, and new build from original or qualified component manufacturers.

Substitution of Components
In the event that an original component is not available, Component Engineering may propose a substitute for the obsolete component.

Reverse Engineering of IP
In some cases the intellectual property of an IC can be recreated. We will only perform this operation for the current owner of the intellectual property.

Re-Manufacture Components
A component may be re-manufactured if other alternatives are not viable options.

Re-Design
A customer may decide to replace an obsolete component or even a complete board by re-design. ELS can provide the technical expertise to accomplish this.
